Bangko Kabayan Inc. (A Private Development Bank) conducted a Fire Brigade Training facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Ibaan last January 3, 10, 24, February 6 and 14, 2020. The Fire Brigade Volunteers are expected to respond to fire calls, rescue, and emergency medical services.
All the fire brigade volunteers underwent an intensive five (5) day composed of lectures and field simulations. Among the topics discussed are firefighting orientation, ropemanship and knot tying, rescue operation and emergency medical services, use of fire extinguisher and fire hose, wearing of FPE, fire brigade organization and actual firefighting.
The purpose of this training is to give participants the skills, knowledge and expertise that will enable them to develop a fire safety program in the premises, make initial response in case of fire, evacuation of persons, provision of first aid medical services make an evaluation of the magnitude of a fire emergency within the bank’s property as well as availability of firefighting assistance from the BFP in case of fire.
