Last February 17, 2017, a town hall celebrations for 2016 CMA Community Leadership Awardee, Wilberto Dagame and 2016 CMA Special Award for Agri Micro-business, Renato Mercado was held in Lipa City and Tanauan City, Batangas respectively.
Wilberto Dagame has been in the business of making different types of pastries and candies for four years already. Apart from his business, he leads an organization of farmers in Lipa and is one of the Founders of the Lipa Beekeepers Cooperative. His contribution to people from his community and the journey he took towards success surely earned him a well-deserved award in the CMA Community Leadership category.
Renato Mercado's award-winning enterprise is the production of organic fertilizers from chicken manure. His own fertilizers are also used in his corn, tomato, and pechay plantation. He has aspirations to expand his business to reach farther provinces and promote the use of organic fertilizers.
