On June 3, 2023, Bangko Kabayan hosted a one-day league event at Brgy. San Carlos in Rosario, Batangas, showcasing the spirited participation of BK employees. The teams were thoughtfully organized into clusters, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among colleagues. This refreshing break from the daily grind played a pivotal role in strengthening employee bonds.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Roldan Ragot, the Head of the Corporate Support Group, Mr. Leandro B. Ofrecio, the Chief Operations Officer, and Mr. Rey V. Orense, the Branch Banking Group Head. In adherence to tradition, each team was represented during the symbolic torch-lighting ceremony, which marked the beginning of an action-packed day.
The program featured the Mr. and Ms. BK Cup 2023, men's and women's volleyball and basketball games. Each team added an element of uniqueness and flavor by creating distinctive cheers to rally behind their players, infusing every match with heightened excitement and
intensity.
The success of this event displays sportsmanship, camaraderie, and team spirit. As the day drew to a close, Ms. Beatriz B. Romulo, the CEO/President of Bangko Kabayan, took the center stage to present the certificates and cash prizes to the deserving winners.
Ultimately, the Western Team emerged as the BK Cup 2023 Overall Champion. Their representative in the Mr. and Ms. BK Cup 2023 also clinched the coveted title. This remarkable event not only fostered a sense of belonging among employees but also celebrated their talent, dedication, and the spirit of friendly competition that thrives within the Bangko Kabayan family.
