Bangko Kabayan held its 64th General Assembly, with the theme Embracing Change, Growing Together, on September 18, 2021, facilitated by Coach Mimo and Atty. Aubrey Perez. It was yet again conducted virtually but still delightfully attended by the employees, the management, and the Board of Directors in their green and white attire.
The program started with a prayer led by selected employees. Chief Financial Officer Liza V. Mercado then gave her welcoming remarks, congratulating everyone for another successful year despite the pandemic and reassuring staff that their ideas and sentiments are well-considered by the management.
A video was presented, welcoming each branch and department and showing the bank’s recent activities and achievements. New employees were also recognized at the event.
One of the highlights of this year’s assembly was when Chief Operating Officer Leandro B. Ofrecio and President Beatriz B. Romulo answered the employees’ most asked questions for the upcoming plans and addressed concerns gathered from the previously held Usapang Kabayan. The President also gladly shared personal information for everyone to get to know her better.
Service, academic, and Extra Mile awardees were acknowledged afterward. The HR Department also prepared riddles for everyone to have a chance to win a prize. Employees were also encouraged to present their appetizing lunch that day and those with the best presentation were rewarded.
The program was concluded by directors Teresa M. Ganzon, Atty. Francis S. Ganzon, and Norberto M. Belen’s words of encouragement on how to accept and embrace change. The BK hymn, which always gets to everyone’s hearts, was also played.
