In partnership with Bangko Kabayan Foundation Inc., Bangko Kabayan’s 2020 Christmas Outreach Program extends a hand to those who are in dire need. The ongoing pandemic did not cause the BK family to waver but it even became an inspiration to continue with this heartwarming tradition that encouraged each and every employee to exercise the bank’s culture of giving.
Given the many calamities that strike the country last 2020 such as COVID-19, typhoons Rolly and Quinta and the Taal eruption, the budget intended for corporate giveaways was reallocated to the outreach program. Employees also make their own voluntary donations to increase the number of beneficiaries.
All branches including the Executive Office were divided into different groups wherein they selected their desired beneficiaries. These beneficiaries include:
- Indigent families from various municipalities like Balayan, Nasugbu, San Jose, Ibaan, Rosario, San Juan, Atimonan, Guamca
- Families affected of Taal eruption, Covid-19 and typhoon in Agoncillo, Batangas
- Families affected by typhoon Quinta and Rolly in Mabini and Batangas City; Nagcarlan and Lumban Laguna
- Garbage Collectors of Sariaya, Quezon
- Solo Parents in Ibaan, Batangas
- Tahanan ng Mahal na Ina ng Guadalupe – Home of the Elderly
As we continue to navigate to 2021, there will be an even greater need due to the pandemic. Bangko Kabayan will continue to do its share to extend its commitment to community development that could bring simple happiness in the lives of others.
