Bangko Kabayan Foundation, Inc. sponsored a 3-day Online Training Program last November 21, 28 and December 5, 2020. The training program was entitled B.E.S.T (Bangon Entrepreneurs at Sumabay sa Tagumpay) which aims to implement a capacity building program targeting the micro entrepreneur who are struggling to adapt to the new business landscape as shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic. The training was facilitated by Bayan Academy -- a social development institution for entrepreneurship and management education especially for micro and small enterprises (MSMEs).
The online training program consists of three (3) modules involving topics that would serve as critical inputs to the decision-making process of micro and small entrepreneurs to make their businesses more resilient in crisis.
The first module deals with assessment of the external environment to discover opportunities that can be pursued and what threats to look out for. The process involved examination of five (5) factors which are Social, Political, Economic, Environmental and Technological.
The second module covers the internal environment aimed at determining the enterprise strengths that should be capitalized on as well as weaknesses that need to be managed. The four (4) management functions in internal assessment are which are Marketing, Operations, Human Resources and Finance.
The third module is related to digital marketing. It will feature the basic digital marketing modules of social media. Micro entrepreneurs will know how to maximize the different tools in Facebook and Instagram to properly market their businesses, products and services to their target market online.
A total of 112 participants participated in the said online training.
