The Talent and Development Academy (TDA) aims to standardize and upgrade the training processes that will further assess and validate the learning acquisition of NEW/PROMOTED/TRANSFERRED employees in accordance with the standards and policies of Bangko Kabayan.
Background/History
This project is the bank’s strategy in addressing the cases of operations’ incident reports and audit findings. Implementation of this project will also ensure the over-all development of the right skills required from the bank’s employees.
The Four Schools
As part of the holistic approach, TDA training programs will cover the major areas of bank’s business functions.
- The School of Sales and Marketing focuses on the development of Sales skills in terms of sales process and customer relationship management.
- The School of Operations was designed to maintain the quality of our processes and services.
- The School of Support aimed for the skills development of bank’s back-end & support offices’ staff.
- The School of Leadership and Management targets the soft and technical skills development of bank’s leaders and managers.
Program Structure
TDA Program Components are based on the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) on the different areas and not limited to Audit Findings, Incident Reports and Compliance Requirements. Hence the course/training modules are developed and aligned with the established TNA.
Project Phases
The TDA followed phases in ensuring its implementation. In the initial process as part of the training needs analysis, the Capability Mapping was conducted to assess the current capacity of the employee on the specific task/function. The next step was the standardization of the training process including the Curriculum Development, it includes the review and construction of the appropriate training modules needed to train each position. Then followed by the Faculty (Facilitators) Development, the identified BK trainers were trained for competency and effectiveness and all of these activities will lead to the training program delivery.
Future Directions
The TDA as an academy of training & learning initiatives of the bank shall continuously be the flagship project of the Human Resource Department. All the programs in the academy are geared toward capacitating all personnel and its leaders and managers for holistic development. The use of digital technology, digital classroom and online teaching & learning tools shall continuously be explored by the TDA Team with the support of the management in order to serve its employees and other stakeholders seamlessly.
