Bangko Kabayan successfully held its BK Summit 2026 on March 28, 2026, at the Claro M. Recto Event Center in Lipa City, Batangas. This year’s summit carried the theme “ASCEND: Beyond Limits. Towards Endless Excellence,” bringing together employees across regions, with a live simulcast to Visayas branches in Cebu and Iloilo.
The program opened with a prayer, followed by a message from President and CEO Leandro Ofrecio, who emphasized resilience, continuous improvement, and shared accountability as key drivers of the Bank’s sustained growth.
Engaging team-building activities set the tone for collaboration and problem-solving, while a series of talks inspired employees to pursue excellence and high performance. Manager Rizaldo U. Regala, Area Head from Visayas, highlighted the Bank’s resilient and people-centered culture, while Senior Branch Manager John Dominic T. Cacao shared insights on embracing failure as part of growth and continuous learning.
The summit also featured performances from LMTP Batches 18 and 19, showcasing the creativity and potential of the Bank’s emerging leaders, along with the formal introduction of newly hired employees.
A key segment of the program focused on performance, presenting the Bank’s 2025 achievements and strategic direction moving forward. Chief Strategy Officer Jhonalyn Gutierrez outlined the Bank’s growth priorities and long-term roadmap. One of the major highlights was the launch of Project CAR (Convenience, Accessibility, Reach), reinforcing Bangko Kabayan’s push for digital transformation and enhanced customer experience through improved mobile banking services.
The evening program celebrated excellence through service and performance awards, recognizing both individual and branch-level achievements. This was followed by a fellowship dinner that further strengthened camaraderie across teams and regions.
The summit concluded with closing remarks from CFO Cherry Lou Benedicto, who expressed appreciation for the dedication of all employees and reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and sustainable growth.
