On March 23, 2024, Bangko Kabayan held its annual BK Summit with the theme “Power of Synergy: Igniting BK Excellence Together”. This is the first time that BK celebrated the event together with its Visayas branches’ employees. Due to the geographical locations of the branches, the event happened simultaneously in four (4) different venues namely South Peak Garden and Events Place in Batangas City, Prince Express Inn Function Hall and Water World Function Room both in Cebu and Eon Centennial Resort Hotel in Iloilo City. The event featured a live-streaming setup connecting branches in Luzon with those in the Visayas, marking a historic moment for the bank.
The summit celebrates the achievements of 2023 and inspires all employees to maintain their high performance for the current year. The event began with a lively Zumba dance session led by LMTP Batch 14 and 15, energizing participants for the team-building activities ahead.
Ms. Beatriz Romulo, President and CEO, delivered the opening message, praising the exceptional performances of the past year. "All of you delivered incredible performances in 2023," she remarked, encouraging employees to strive for another year of outstanding achievements. The activities centered around the theme, showcased the bank's collective efforts, skills, and strengths. Team-building activities reinforced Bangko Kabayan's core values.
Another event's highlight was the awarding ceremony, which recognized individuals, groups, branches, and service awardees for their exceptional performance in 2023. Mr. Leandro Ofrecio, COO, delivered a congratulatory message, acknowledging the challenges BK faced in 2023 and praising the perseverance and unity of the BK team.
