Microfinance Team Building 2018

Last May 19, 2018, the annual team building of the Microfinance Department took place. The event transpired at Just Dreams Resort, Burol, Calamba, Laguna and was attended by the Microfinance Department Head, MF Recruitment and Retooling Specialist, Area Heads, Microfinance Supervisors, all Community Development Specialists, and the new additions to the MFD family – the ANI Loan Officers and Supervisors. The festivities started at around 8 in the morning with the opening remarks of Sir Nimrod Dela Pena, MF Department Head, wherein he welcomed the attendees and also explained their participation in the activities for the day.

Several obstacles and challenges were prepared to test the participants' teamwork and problem-solving skills. The group was divided into four teams each led by Malic Datu Alabi, Diomedes Chaves, Joey Arellano, and Carmina Jaime. Everyone showcased their own strategies to finish the obstacles in the fastest time possible. In the end, Team Blue was declared as the winning team. When asked about the strategies they used, they answered how teamwork, cooperation, and overall participation from each member played a big part in their win. A bountiful lunch in boodle form was prepared and consumed by the teams to cap off the first part of the program.

The succeeding part of the program was the Awarding Ceremonies. Best CDS for KAPITAN, Kabayan, and Most Accounts Generated for Gabay Housing Loan for the previous year 2017 were given recognition. For Cluster 1, Kevin Torino and Carmina Jaime were hailed as the best performers in their fields. For Cluster 2, it was Malic Datu Alabi and Jojo Vergara; while for the 3rd Cluster, August Bahia and Norman Feliciano were awarded. Ralph Gelli of Lemery Branch was recognized for generating the most number of accounts for Gabay Housing Loan for the previous year 2017 . Afterwards, ANI Loan officers and supervisors were introduced and warmly welcomed to the Microfinance Family.

The day ended with the closing remarks from the MFD Head. At this point, he congratulated not only the awardees but everyone that makes up the Microfinance Department for the success of the previous year. He pointed how everyone should strive to go beyond their personal limitations for their own individual growth and for the growth of Bangko Kabayan, Inc. as a whole.
