Last April 1, 2023, Bangko Kabayan (BK) conducted a Fire Safety Seminar and Evacuation Drill to promote safety and preparedness among its employees and clients. The event was held at the BK’s Head Office and attended by over 40 employees.
Experts from the local fire department led the seminar. They provided valuable information on fire prevention, response, and evacuation procedures. The experts emphasized the importance of having fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and fire alarms in homes and workplaces. They also demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers and gave some tips to prevent common causes of fires, such as faulty electrical wiring and smoking.
Following the seminar, an evacuation drill took place to ensure the preparedness of employees during a fire emergency. It is an opportunity for everyone to practice and review the proper procedures for staying safe during a fire. During the drill, participants were instructed to evacuate the building in an orderly manner and gather at a secured designated location.
