Bangko Kabayan held its President’s Cup 2018 at Plaza De Roxas, Nasugbu, Batangas last July 21, 2018.
It was another fun-filled and exciting bank-wide event hosted by Cluster 2, headed by Mgr. Leah Jareno (Area Head), and participated by branches from different clusters and various departments from the executive office.
The program started with an opening prayer led by Ms. Claire Quitain (CRA – CBB), followed by the opening remarks of Mr. Dindo Ofrecio (Chief Operations Officer). A symbolic lighting of torch was also done by the representative of each team. The games are not the usual ball games that the bank traditionally played yearly, The organizers (MT Batch 10) came up with the concept of the theme "Sanggang Dikit Tayo Kabayan, Sa Larong Kinagisnan." With this, traditional Filipino games are in line to be played. These include Luksong Lubid, Sipa, Luksong Tinik, Kadang-Kadang, Tulak Gulong, Batuhang bola, Sack Race, Maria Went to Market, Basag Palayok and Cup Relay.
Each game was full of excitement and intense emotions, stimulating not only the players but also the audience, particularly in the final game. The plaza was filled with yells and cheers in an unwavering support to their teams as they aspire to win the title of Bangko Kabayan President’s Cup 2018 Champions.
As the games ended, the results were officially announced. Green team emerged as overall champion this season.
